Outstanding opportunity to come in as a Chief Nursing Officer!

Opportunity for a strong nursing Management  leader to be a CNO for a growing acute care specialty system with locations throughout the country. This CNO will be overseeing all day to day clinical workings of the facility which consist of approx. 50 beds and will have a team of 45 FTE’s. The facility is known for their specialty care of higher acuity patients, and well treated care. Main duties of this CNO will be to follow all policies and procedure along with state and federal guidelines and mandated with the Joint Commission. Directs related patient activities in all clinical departments of the hospital while exercised final authority over those associated with providing nursing care, treatment and services. Assists in the budget preparation process both capital and operating cost and is responsible for its effective implementation.

Requirements:

  • Licensed RN with a BSN, Masters preferred.
  • 3 + years in a Leadership/Management role overseeing a bed unit/units and team preferably out of a critical care higher acuity setting.
  • Ability with and knowledge of State and JCAHO Surveys and Accreditations. 
  • Knowledge of cost controls and departmental budgeting.
  • Ability to understand all protocol for acute care service including ICU, vent management, beside tracheostomy, vasoactive drips and atrial lines.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with Physicians, patients and families.
  • Ability to multi task and work in a busy fast paced environment.
