Industrial Sales Engineer – Rubber Band Products

My client is an ISO 9001:2015 certified manufacturer and fabricator of custom industrial rubber products. They are enlarging our sales team within our Industrial Rubber Band Division, and looking for a proactive, hard-working individual with at least 3-5 years of successful B2B sales of industrial, non-chemical products. This inside, consultative sales position will focus on new and existing product sales development. This sales role targets users to discover if their current and future product needs match those of our Rubber Band product features. Excellent salary and benefits package with annual performance bonus potential.


Qualify daily inquiries from prospects and existing customers, resulting in appropriate future action. Based on prospect/ customer needs, contact appropriate suppliers to develop a quotation to satisfy the need. Manage supplier relationships, including maintaining strong communications negotiating competitive pricing, and providing feedback as necessary. Interface closely with your customers to ensure requirements have been met and to ensure satisfaction. Provide timely follow-up on quotes and orders. Resolve customer complaints, concerns or quality issues as they arise. Promptly communicate with quality manager and other management, as necessary. Communicate with customer in a timely manner to resolve the issue and satisfy their need. Determine root cause to prevent reoccurrence. Support company annual sales target by focusing on repeat orders; follow-up with current customers for new items, and adding new customers by properly satisfying prospects. Work closely with all other departments including quality, production and shipping to ensure customer satisfaction. Proactively communicate with Marketing staff, suggesting content and other ideas to generate leads and/or market our Rubber products.

Job Requirements

Industrial Sales Engineer – Rubber Band Products



  • Strong verbal and written communications skills are required.
  • 3-5 years of successful B2B sales of industrial, non-chemical products.
  • Experience working with material suppliers to produce competitive quotes is required.
  • ISO and/or QS quality system experience is a benefit
