Technical Sales – Tire


Our client develops, manufactures and markets high-quality, proprietary rubber-based products to various industries, including automotive, heavy industry, construction and infrastructure, oil & gas, and defense. 

 

Role: 

 

The role of the Technical Sales associate is to solicit new customer and maintain positive relations with current customers.


Responsibilities:


●        Is a safety advocate; leads by example by complying with all plant and Occupational Health and Safety policies.

●        Solicit new business from new accounts.

●        Solicit new or additional business from existing accounts.

●        Periodically review, or have head office review, pricing / margins for each compound at each account.

●        Periodically visit each account.

●        Conduct customer surveys as requested by Customer Service.

●        Resolve all customer complaints, or explain to the customer why it cannot be resolved.

●        Be the liaison between the account and all other functions including the compound developers, invoicing, shipping, etc.

●        Perform special projects as requested by senior management.

●        Attend trade shows as requested.

●        Submit trip reports punctually after sales calls.

●        Additional duties as assigned.


Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • University degree or equivalent industry experience
  • Sales training
  • Strong communication skills
  • Customer-focused attitude
